First
Day At ACA
A friend once said
that the worst days of her life were at high school. Her comment
got me thinking and with all honesty, for me it was the opposite.
I spent some of the best days of my life at ACA and if I had to
relive the whole experience, I wouldn’t think twice about
it and would be glad to.
I remember vividly the first day I enrolled at ACA back in 1993.
They say that the first day in a new school is always tough but
it wasn’t tough for me thanks to the enthusiasm of the teachers
and students. TOP

Another thing that was great about ACA is that it gave us students
an opportunity to discover our strengths and our weaknesses so that
we could improve the former and overcome the latter. Moreover, not
only did it offer a high standard of education but also a variety
of extracurricular activities and sports.
I ‘ll be eternally grateful to ACA for all it has given me.
Thanks to its high standard of education, I was able to do exceptionally
well at my university (Notre Dame) in Lebanon where I am majoring
in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. I
am on the Dean’s List every semester and I got so high a score
on my English placement test that I had to skip to Sophomore English.
(I was told that I scored the highest ever on the placement test).
I am not bragging but simply saying that I couldn’t have done
this without the help of the teachers at ACA who had guided me for
many years. TOP

Furthermore, do you know what it feels like to give a speech or
a presentation in front of many people? Yeah, well, I used to freak
out anytime I had to do that, but at ACA, we were taught how to
speak well in front of a large audience. This has helped me immensely
at the university whenever I have to give a presentation. But the
greatest gift that ACA ever gave me was the opportunity to meet
different people from so many countries and to get to know them
well. I think that’s the main thing that differentiated ACA
from other schools and it was the best thing about ACA.
ACA provided us with a fantastic educational, social, and spiritual
environment. I cherish every memory I have of it. I will never forget
the musical events, the plays – stressful but fun - long days
we spent practicing, when I helped direct on two occasions…
and who could forget the fun fairs and all the excitement that accompanied
them.
I ‘ll always remember everything – the hectic exam days,
the numerous events on Valentine’s Day and a personal favorite
of mine, the field trips to the forest. TOP
Finally, ACA is a great school for any student
interested in a well rounded education and in making friends with
people from all over the world. If I could turn back the time, I
would not change a single thing about my high school experience,
for ACA wasn’t just a school, it was more like a home and
home is where the heart is. TOP
